M.A. Program - No Cost Cremation

Wisconsin Medical Assistance - No Cost Cremation to your family.

If the decedent was receiving certain financial aid benefits through the State of Wisconsin (MA Program) at the time of their passing, they may qualify for the state benefit to help pay for their cremation costs (Wisconsin Funeral & Cemetery Aids Program). If you think they may qualify for this benefit we are able to check for you between the hours of M & W 8:30am - 4:00pm and F 8:30am-12:00pm, closed holidays. On Tuesdays and Thursday we are only allowed to verify eligibility via email from the State.  Unfortunately, We are no longer able to check someone's eligibility prior to passing. So in the event of a family members passing, they can stay at the place of death to check their eligibility or come into our care immediately while we check that.  Each scenario is unique to each family and what works best for your family.

**Please note that the state considers this program a "payment of last resort" and may request financial documentation from your family to substantiate your claim that the family has no other means to pay for the decedent's burial or cremation.**

Many families who qualify for this benefit through the State of Wisconsin choose services that do not require them any fees whatsoever, and others very little.  If your family is approved for State burial assistance we will include many of our services within that fee received from the state.

WFCAP  Benefits:  If your family member is eligible for state burial benefits, the cremation will be paid in full by the State of Wisconsin.  There will be no extra fees to the family.
